ZCWA Robot Vacuum Support and Troubleshooting
Most ZCWA BR151 faults come down to four things: a dirty sensor, a damp or clogged filter, a scaled-up water nozzle, or charging contacts that are not quite meeting. Work through the table below before contacting support — it resolves the large majority of reported problems.
Symptom, cause, fix
| Symptom | Most likely cause | What to do first |
|---|---|---|
| Will not charge on the dock | Dirty or misaligned contacts, dock not powered | Wipe both sets of contacts, confirm the dock is switched on, reseat the robot squarely |
| Runtime much shorter than 100 minutes | Battery ageing, or mopping and carpet both draining harder | Run one full discharge and recharge cycle; if it stays short and the unit is in warranty, contact support |
| No water while mopping | Empty tank or limescale in the nozzle | Refill; soak the nozzle in warm water or white vinegar; use clean water only |
| Leaving wet streaks | Cloth saturated or water level too high for the floor | Rinse and wring the cloth, drop to the lower flow level |
| Weak suction | Full bin, damp filter, blocked intake | Empty the bin, dry or replace the filter cotton, clear the suction port |
| Missing whole strips of floor | Normal for a non-mapping robot | Use Zig-zag instead of Auto, or run it twice on large open floors |
| Hesitates then restarts | Dust on the cliff or obstacle sensors | Wipe all sensors dry, clear the wheel axles, update firmware |
| Falls off a step | Cliff sensors obstructed or still covered by film | Remove any protective film, clean the sensor windows |
| Gets tangled in cables or rug fringe | Floor not cleared before the run | Tidy cables and tassels; use a physical barrier at problem spots |
| Will not pair with Wi-Fi | 5 GHz network, or robot on the dock during pairing | Switch to 2.4 GHz, lift the robot off the dock, hold the charging button three seconds |
| Drops off Wi-Fi repeatedly | Weak signal at the dock | Move the dock closer to the router or add a 2.4 GHz extender nearby |
| Side brushes stop spinning | Hair wound round the brush post | Unclip the brushes, cut the hair away, refit until they click |
| Beeps on a charged dock | Intermittent contact | Clean the contacts and reseat; contact support if it continues |
Most of the entries above are maintenance rather than failure. The full maintenance schedule lists every interval and includes a symptom-to-cause table that covers the same ground preventively.
Before contacting support
Having these ready shortens the exchange considerably: the model number (BR151), the order number, the approximate purchase date, a one-line description of what the robot does and what it should do instead, and a short video if the fault is intermittent.

Support FAQ
The ZCWA robot vacuum will not charge. What should be checked?
In order: that the dock is plugged in and switched on at the wall; that the metal contacts on the robot and the dock are clean and actually touching; that the robot is seated squarely rather than at an angle; and that the power switch on the side of the robot is on. If it still shows no charging indicator after a full night on the dock, the battery or the dock has failed and the unit should go to support.
The mop has stopped releasing water.
Check the tank is full — 230 ml does not go far across a large floor. Then remove the tank and soak the outlet nozzle in warm water or white vinegar to clear limescale, which is the usual cause. Never put detergent or floor cleaner in the tank; it is the fastest way to block the nozzle permanently.
Suction has become weak.
Empty the dustbin, then wash or replace the filter cotton and let it dry completely before refitting — a damp filter chokes airflow. Check the suction port for a blockage and clear hair from the two side brushes.
The robot pauses for a few seconds and then carries on.
Almost always a dusty sensor. Wipe the cliff sensors on the underside and the obstacle sensors on the bumper with a dry cloth, and clear hair from the wheel axles. Install any firmware update the app offers. If it persists, power off for ten seconds and restart.
The robot gets stuck under the same piece of furniture.
It has driven into a gap it fits under but cannot fit out of, usually a sofa with a sloping underside. Block that gap with a low physical barrier — this model has no app-drawn no-go zones.
It beeps on the dock even when fully charged.
Usually intermittent contact. Wipe both sets of charging plates and reseat the robot. If the beeping continues with clean, aligned contacts, contact support.
How is the robot reset to factory settings?
Power it off at the side switch, wait ten seconds and power it on. To clear the Wi-Fi pairing, hold the charging button for about three seconds until it beeps and then add the device again in Tuya Smart.
Where do warranty claims go?
Email support@zcwarobotvacuum.com with the model number (BR151), the order number and a short description or video of the fault. Returns within the retailer's return window are handled through your order page directly.
Setup instructions are on the BR151 manual page; network and voice control are covered on the app setup page.
